The Lord’s Prayer Outreach Association Inc.
The Lord’s Prayer Outreach Association Inc. (TLP), founded by John Kpewoan, is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 1999 to help children in war torn countries.
Over the past nineteen years TLP has purchased 8 acres of land near Monrovia in Paynesville where they have constructed two dormitories (girls and boys), a guest house, school (ABC through grade 12th), multipurpose building, Church, Staff housing Complex and initiated an agricultural project.
My wife and I have locally adopted 75 less fortunate children (Orphans, street children & abandon children) onto the TLP campus where they are been cared for, trained, and educated.
TLP realizes that they cannot build enough housing units to house the estimated thousands of less fortunate children that are living in Liberia.
TLP has brought onto campus 75 children who are been trained to work with other less fortunate children in Liberia. TLP hopes to have these first set of 75 children affect another 75 who will then affect another 75 and so on.
The need in Liberia is desperate. Even before the outbreak of last phase of the Liberian civil war and then EBOLA crisis, Liberia’s population of over 4 million people had an unemployment rate of over 85%. Today food and water are scarce; parents are finding it difficult to provide for their children.
In this direction, The Lord’s Prayer ministry is in Liberia to help build the lives of many of these children.
“Whenever man-made destruction occurs, the children are the ones who suffer the most. Those who cause war, corruption, killing, rape etc. don’t stay around long enough to see the harm they create for the future leaders (the children). The result is that the children grow up almost, totally destroyed mentally, physically and spiritually. The children are often (if not always) forgotten by society but the good news is – God has not forgotten the children,” says John Kepo Kpewoan.
